| Description: | Opti 3: Implements a new deterministic DIRECT algorithm and it converges
much faster than does Simulated Annealing. Several modifictions have also been
made to the DIRECT algorithm to improve its efficiency and flexibility,
including three locally biased variations , new geometric constraints and
modifications to handle the manufacturing tolerance and the hidden constraints.
The DIRECT algorithm is found to be superior to the Simulated Annealing
algorithm in slider ABS optimization. Coded in C and distributed with
executable file. Several matlab programs are also included for the
pre-processing and post-processing purposes.
